A landmark new report is warning that nature is declining globally at rates unprecedented in human history and the rate of species extinctions is accelerating with 1,000,000 species threatened with extinction.
Work is now underway on the £8 million Suffolk Broads wetlands restoration project which will see the creation of 1,000 acres of wildness at the gateway to the Broads National Park.
A joint initiative between the Green Alliance and the National Trust is progressing work on a proposed Natural Infrastructure Scheme (NIS) model - the pioneering new funding concept would deliver environmental restoration and improvement via the model for creating private markets for ecosystem services from land.
