Northumbrian Water is starting work on upgrades to a sewage treatment works in Hartlepool, which will help to protect water quality – the company is investing £1.1 million in the installation of a new storm tank at its site in Greatham.
Wessex Water has reported a pre-tax loss of £43.2 million, a 44% increase in capital investment to £421 million, and dividend payment of £66.5 million. according to its Annual Report and Accounts for the financial year 2023-24.
