Northumbrian Water has started work on a £2.5 million project that will improve water quality in a North Yorkshire beck.
Four nature recovery projects will begin over the summer in Dearne Valley in South Yorkshire, to complement a wider programme of investment at Yorkshire Water’s wastewater treatment sites to improve water quality in the river Dearne.
Uisce Éireann is progressing work on a €31 million project to upgrade the wastewater infrastructure in Buncrana, Ballybofey and Stranorlar.
Yorkshire Water is investing £1.6 million to reduce storm discharges into Fagley Beck as it continues to improve water quality in the region.
Over six weeks since South West Water first issued a Boil Water Notice following a cryptosporidium outbreak which at one stage impacted 16,000 households and businesses in the Brixham area, the notice still remains in place for a number of customers.
