Sutton and East Surrey Water has aligned with four other water companies to increase the number of customers on their social tariff, taking its first steps to create a cross-regional network of south east organisations supporting customers facing financial vulnerability as promised in their 2020 to 2025 Business Plan.
Cancer Research UK, the UK’s largest charity, has signed up to a new water supply contract designed to help it save water and money across its sites in Scotland and England.
Anglian Water has today responded to Ofwat’s initial assessment of its Business Plan for the period from 2020-2025, which it received at the end of January. The utility has restated its belief that its Plan is the right one for its customers, its region, and the environment.
United Utilities has commissioned innovative new assurance technology to use across 100km of pipeline, allowing it to manage contractors and meet Ofwat’s regulatory requirements for its £300m West Cumbria water supplies project.
Thames Water said it has “overwhelming customer support” for its strengthened business plan for 2020-2025 submitted to Ofwat today, which commits to deliver more for its customers and the environment at a reduced cost.
