The Environment Agency has opened 2 public consultations on permits for construction at Sizewell C nuclear power station in East Suffolk.
Anglian Water Services Ltd has been ordered to pay over £50,000 for failing, without reasonable excuse, to comply with a requirement to provide records by the Environment Agency. The order includes a £25,000 fine, £190 victim surcharge and £25,000 in costs.
Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA) Minister Andrew Muir has announced 20 actions his Department will take to improve water quality, address the challenges in Lough Neagh and tackle blue green algae (BGA).
