London Gateway Port is inviting interested suppliers in the construction sector to apply for pre-qualification for the design and construction of the £multi-m fourth deep-water berth and the associated onshore infrastructure ahead of drawing up a shortlist of tenderers.

The tender process for the Berth 4 civil and marine design and construction work will commence in July 2021.
London Gateway is uniquely combined with Europe’s largest logistics park, which is currently under construction.
London Gateway provides the most efficient link between deep-sea shipping and the largest consumer markets in the UK, offering shippers a port centric solution and the location, facilities, connectivity, speed, efficiency and reliability they need for their supply chains. The area where the works will be constructed was reclaimed as part of the initial port construction works, which took place between 2010 and 2014.
The contract will be tendered in two separate Lots:
Lot 1: Civil Works includes earthworks, hazardous container storage including pipework and holding tanks for contaminated effluent, surface water drainage and testing and commissioning
Lot 2: Marine Works includes a 430m extension of the existing deep-water quay, dredging of the berth pocket and approaches, surface water drainage, electrical control and protection systems and testing and commissioning
London Gateway are inviting bidders to consider prequalifying and if successful in their prequalification, submitting an offer for either or both Lots.
