Natural Resources Wales has awarded a contract for Marine Licencing and Specialists Advice Framework 2025 worth an estimated £3.5 million.

The Natural Resources Wales Marine Licensing Team were seeking specialist technical advice from appropriate expert bodies on a number of subjects to determine impacts on the environment, human health, legitimate uses of the sea and other areas from marine licence applications in order to discharge their duties under the Marine and Coastal Access Act 2009 and Marine Works EIA Regulations 2007.

The Welsh Government and Planning and Environment Decisions Wales will also be able to seek technical advice or support via the framework
