NI Water has gone out to tender with a major Professional Services Framework contract with an estimated total value of £800 million.

The water company is looking to put a Professional Services Framework in place consisting of five Lots and with multiple suppliers to enable the efficient delivery of its capital works programme and consultancy services associated with the delivery of normal services for NI Water.

NI Water said the Framework will facilitate the provision for framework management including:

  • feasibility, design and climate change;
  • surveying and modelling;
  • project management;
  • site supervision;
  • programme management office services and innovation and efficiency services for projects from inception through to construction stages of the capital works programme.

 

The contract is being tendered in the following five Lots:

  • Lot 1- NEC Site Supervisors (Civil and MEICA) - £16,000,000
  • Lot 2 - NEC Project Managers - £40,000,000
  • Lot 3 - Feasibility, Design and Climate Change - £640,000,000
  • Lot 4 - Capital Programme Management Office Services - £80,000,000
  • Lot 5 - Innovation and Efficiency - £24,000,000

 

Initial contract term for the Framework is four years with potential extension options for a second and third term of two years respectively.

NI Water is looking to appoint up to 23 participants to the Framework Agreement. Interested suppliers can submit tenders for all five Lots – and can also potentially be awarded with contracts for all five Lots.

It is envisaged that the Framework can be used by the water company’s subsidiaries and other participating authorities including:

  • Agri-Food and Biosciences Institute NI;
  • Department for Infrastructure NI;
  • Department of Agriculture Environment and Rural Affairs NI;
  • Northern Ireland Environment Agency and Special EU Programmes Body
