NI Water has gone out to tender with a contract for supply, maintenance and testing services for its lifting and fall arrest equipment worth an estimated £8 million.

The service is to meet statutory requirements related to 25,500 items of equipment per annum out of the water company’s approximate total of 35,000 Items.

NI Water may also seek to procure the maintenance, repair, supply and certification of pressure systems equipment of up to 800 items of equipment per annum out of an approximate total of 1250 items.

However, this is not a mandatory requirement - not being able to provide this will not impact on the evaluation of the tender.

Initial contract term is 3 years, with further extension options available.
