Northumbrian Water has gone out to tender with a contract for occupational health and well-being services worth an estimated £1.65 million.

The water company has a workforce of approximately 3 100 employees in total – consisting of around 1,700 employees in Northumbrian’s northern operating areas, 540 in Essex and 500 in Suffolk.

Services to be provided under the wide-ranging contract, which is being tendered in two separate Lots, include musculoskeletal service, employee well-being programme, software and absence management services for up to 3 100 employees, absence referrals and health surveillance.

Initial contract term, which will start on 1st July 2020, is three years with two further annual extension options.
