Southern Water has gone out to tender with an AMP8 contract for Maintenance Repair & Operations (MRO) Parts & Services worth an estimated £57.4 million.

The water company is looking to put a framework agreement in place for suppliers to provide MRO parts, consumables and services in 5 broad areas: Mechanical, Electrical, Small Bore Pipe Work, Hydraulic Pipes and Fittings and Legacy PLC Parts.
All lots cover the provision of parts and consumables. In addition, Lot 4 Hydraulics Pipes & Fittings has a service element whereby the supplier would be required to come onto site to prepare pipes and install them to fix, for example, a leak or burst. For Lots 1 and 2, (and optionally for Lot 3) we are seeking out suppliers to be able to deliver stock to Southern Water stores and stock shelves accordingly.
The contract is being tendered in the following Lots:
- Lot 1 Mechanical Parts - £24,000,000
- Lot 2 Electrical Parts - £26,000,000
- Lot 3 Small Bore Pipe Works Parts - £1,800,000
- Lot 4 Hydraulic Pipes & Fittings Parts and Services - £1,800,000
- Lot 5 Legacy PLC Parts - £1,800,000
Initial contract term is 4 year with a further 4 year renewal option.
