SSE Services plc has gone out to tender with a contract for a range of environmental and ecological services worth an estimated £10 million in total.

The energy supplier is looking for suppliers of various environmental services covering a range of specialisms including:

  • Lead Environmental Impact Assessment - (scoping/environmental impact assessment) involving the production and submission of screening request/scoping reports and associated figures as required, to define project issues for consideration and establish opinions and issue to relevant bodies
  • LVIA (Landscape and visual impact assessment) contributing to, advise on and review the screening request/scoping report, associated figures/wirelines/photomontages and specialist printing etc. where applicable
  • hydrology and hydrogeology
  • ornithology
  • transport
  • geology
  • archaeology and cultural heritage
  • ecology
  • planning (policy and statements)

Initial contract term, which is scheduled to start on 1st April 2020, is four years, with 2 further 12 month extension options. The contract is being tendered in 14 Lots.
