Thames Water has gone out to tender with a framework contract for the supply of new technology to reduce phosphorus content in treated waste water going into rivers worth an estimated £60.73 million.
The agreement will help Thames Water to comply with the more stringent requirements of the Water Framework and Habitats Directives.
The contract is being tendered in three separate Lots:
- Lot 1 High Phosphorus Consent Level (£11. 945m)
- Lot 2 - Medium Phosphorus Consent Level (£16.575m)
- Lot 3 Tight Phosphorus Consent Level (£32.21m)
Core scope under each Lot includes the design, manufacture, FAT, delivery, installation (if required), test and commissioning of a complete tertiary treatment plant.
Thames Water is looking to appoint a maximum of three suppliers to the framework agreement, which will be awarded for an initial term of 5 years with options to extend up to a maximum term of 8 years (5 years + 3 years).
