The water company intends to award a framework for the supply of foul water detention tanks which will be installed anywhere within the company operating network. The purpose of the tanks is to reduce the demand put upon wastewater treatment works by creating extra storage capacity.

The framework is being tendered in the following three Lots:

  • Lot 1 - Integrated Tanks  (£1.2 million)

A self-contained pre-formed ‘integrated’ type tank (typically for lower storage volume requirements)

  • Lot 2 - Modular Detention Tanks  (£9 million)

A multi-tank ‘modular’ type tank (typically for higher volume requirements)

  • Lot 3 - Above Ground Tanks  (£9.8 million)

An above ground type tank (typically for both smaller and higher volume requirements)

United Utilities is looking to appoint up to 10 suppliers to the framework.

Time limit for receipt of tenders or requests to participate is 13 December 2024 – click here to access the tender documentation
