The Environment Agency has started work on an innovative £1 million natural flood management pilot project in Swaton, Lincolnshire.
The Environment Agency has started the early engagement process to procure a Construction Partner for the £501 million River Thames Scheme to reduce the flood risk for 11,000 homes and 1,600 businesses in communities along the river.
Thousands more homes and businesses are to be better protected from flooding and coastal erosion, as part of plans published today by the Government outlining a record £5.2 billion of investment over the next six years.
