Ofwat agrees to Thames Water request for further referral of appeal to CMA with open-ended timescale
Thames Water has requested yet another referral of Ofwat’s Final Determination on its AMP8 Business Plan to the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) for a re-determination with no specified deadline – which the water sector’s economic regulator has agreed to.
The UK government has welcomed the Office for Environmental Protection’s (OEP’s) report ‘Progress in improving the natural environment in England 2023 to 2024’ published in January 2025 and “largely accepts” the OEP’s recommendations.
